Good afternoon Snowline,
Tropical Storm Hilary has left her mark on the Snowline community. Thank you to our local utility agencies and first responders for working around the clock to make repairs and keep our safety and essential infrastructure in place.
Travel in the Wrightwood, Pinon Hills, Phelan, and Baldy Mesa areas is still challenging. We have been working with Cal Trans District 8 and San Bernardino County Roads to prioritize our communities' main thoroughfares and Snowline bus routes.
Road closures, inaccessible bus stops, and road damage will prevent us from opening our school sites tomorrow. So, all Snowline schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, 8/22/23.
Today, we have witnessed countless random acts of kindness as we traveled every bus route in the Snowline School District. Community members have pulled together to fix roads, pull each other out from the mud, and help repair water-damaged homes. This is just another reminder of why we love this community. Thank you for checking on your neighbors and working together to make the Snowline Community the best place to live, work, and attend school!
We will send an update tomorrow afternoon once Cal Trans and San Bernardino County Roads provide us with details on their progress.
Thanks for your understanding and support. We hope everyone has a great evening.
