Good evening Snowline,

We want to thank the San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services, the Wrightwood Community Services District, and the Wrightwood CERT team for organizing today's supply giveaway at Wrightwood Elementary School. Supplies will also be available for pick up tomorrow from 10a to 4p at Wrightwood Elementary. San Bernardino County Roads has been diligently working on cleaning up roads in Wrightwood, and we will continue to assess our bus routes and transportation options as roadways improve. Details on bus routes will be released tomorrow.

We are excited to see everyone on Monday, 3/6/23, for our return to school! We hope you enjoy your evening!

We are excited to have made so much progress today with our cleanup, and we look forward to returning to school on Monday, 3.6.23. The Snowline team worked hard today in collaboration with the Serrano High School Fire CTE and the San Bernardino County Roads Department to do some heavy lifting around Wrightwood Elementary School. We are so thankful for our partnerships, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the work completed today.

We are finalizing the Bus Transportation details for our SHS and PMMS students residing in Wrightwood and will release those specifics tomorrow. Wrightwood Elementary Students and Staff, be on the lookout for a message from Mr. Garner tomorrow as well!

We will continue to provide updates throughout the weekend!

Good afternoon Snowline,

This week has been a true testament to the resiliency of the Snowline Community. As we near the end of the week, and with the recent State of Emergency declared for our area, we are beginning to see additional County and State resources in the Wrightwood and Phelan areas. The Snowline Team has been working hard to get our campuses back open. At this point in the day, we still need additional time to continue our cleanup efforts. So, Friday, 3.3.23, all Snowline Schools will be closed.

We will work hard with emergency officials to ensure a safe return to school as soon as possible. We hope you have a safe weekend, and we will be sure to provide updates throughout the weekend on our progress!

Whew, what a whirlwind of a week! It looks like blue skies are in our future! Today's road closures of HWY 138 and HWY 2 impacted our staff's ability to remove snow at some of our school sites. We received significant snowfall today, and we will need some time to evaluate and clean up our schools. Tomorrow, Thursday, 3.2, all Snowline schools will be closed.

At this time, HWY 2 is still closed to non-residential traffic. After speaking with CalTans this morning, an estimated opening of HWY 2 has yet to be determined. We will continue to work with our partner agencies to provide the latest information possible. Today, Wednesday, 3/1, all Snowline schools will be closed due to road closures and inclement weather. As of 4 am, HWY 138 has a hard closure in place at Beekly Rd and the 15 Freeway. HWY 2 and HWY 138 were unplowed at that time. If you must be on the roads this morning, please travel safely, as visibility, wind, and snow provided challenging driving conditions! We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they develop.

Good evening Snowline,

We are thankful for a beautiful bluebird day today, which allowed us ample opportunity to fine-tune our school sites. We are now ready for the return of our students and staff. At this time, HWY 2 is still closed, but after speaking with CHP they seemed more optimistic about a sooner-than-later opening. We are also following the current weather forecast that may impact the Phelan, Pinon Hills, and Wrightwood areas tomorrow. With this in mind, we will resume our normal operations of assessing our roads, school sites, and general safety tomorrow morning. Please plan on receiving additional information tomorrow morning around 5 am regarding school operations.

Thank you for being so patient as we work through this dynamic event! Like the CHP, we are hopeful for a sooner-than-later school opening!

Thank you to the AMAZING Snowline staff who came in today to help clear snow, ice, and debris! This is an arduous task, and we couldn't be more thankful to the team! Extensive cleanup was made at all school sites, but we still need a little more time to prepare for our student's return. In addition, we are communicating with the California Highway Patrol and Cal Trans regarding the road closure still in place on HWY 2, impacting our Wrightwood students, staff, and families. Unfortunately, there is yet to be a set time or day for HWY 2 to reopen.

We will continue to work towards reopening our schools as quickly and safely as possible. Tomorrow, Tuesday, 2.28, all Snowline schools will be closed.

We have been so inspired by the Snowline community these past few days. We have seen strangers pulling each other out from the mud and snow, people offering to go grocery shopping for those who can't make it out of their homes, and providing transportation for those in need. The outpouring of generosity from this community has been moving. Thank you for making the Snowline community the best place to live, work, and attend school.

This storm has been one for the record books! It has been an incredible storm cycle, and we hope everyone has stayed safe! We have spent the day assessing our school sites, roads, and general safety for our students, staff, and community. Considering the road/travel challenges throughout the district, the necessary clean-up at our school sites, and HWY 2 still being closed to non-resident traffic, all Snowline schools will be closed on Monday, 2.27.

We will continue to evaluate our operations daily and keep everyone updated with the latest and greatest as soon as the information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we ensure a safe return to school as quickly as possible!

Today, Friday, 2.24, all Snowline schools will be closed due to inclement weather. Most of the storm energy will pass through our area today. Please stay safe as you travel the roadways. As of 4 am, Wrightwood Elementary has 6ish inches of snow, and Phelan Elementary has a trace to 1/2 inch of snow. For all eastbound traffic, chain control is set up at Beekly and HWY 138. We hope everyone has a great weekend, and we will evaluate our operations throughout the weekend to ensure a safe return to school on Monday!
