Sheep Fire Day 2

The Sheep Fire is currently burning near our Wrightwood Community. The fire will impact Summer School operations for 6/13/22.

Congratulations! Whether you are a graduate of Chaparral High School, Eagle Summit Community Day School, Serrano High School, Snowline Academy, or Snowline Adult School, this accomplishment is equally impressive because of the many similar challenges (a continuing pandemic, social unrest, tragic events, never-ending changes) as well as unique difficulties that all of you have faced and ultimately overcome. Be proud of what you have conquered and know that I am really proud of each and every single one you!

The final week of the 2021-22 school is almost here! It will be filled with our traditional graduation and promotion activities that have been disrupted by COVID-19 for the past two years. It should be a wonderful four days of celebrating the many powerful accomplishments of our students at all of our schools. If you are willing, please share your favorite pictures with us. Use #Snowline when you post them on social media so that we can see the joy and many wonderful smiles of our students and their families.

The last day of the 2021-22 school year is Thursday, June 9. The end is rapidly approaching, but there are so many celebrations and other wonderful school events to experience before we get to and through the 180th day of school.

The tragedy at Robb Elementary School in Texas left me angered, frustrated, and completely heartbroken. The loss of more innocent lives by way of a mass shooting seems unthinkable. As we grieve for the families and other loved ones of the children and teachers who were murdered, I am overcome with the feeling again that these events are entirely unacceptable and must stop. In honor of all who have lost their lives to unspeakable violence at schools throughout our nation, enough is enough.

With only 11 days of school remaining, the 2021-22 school year is coming to a close in rapid fashion. COVID-19 cases in the Snowline JUSD have increased in each of the last four weeks. Please remain focused on good health as we finish the school year in the best of ways.
